Rockton Warrior Races

Kimberlee Lang was PTO board member and Booster Club member for a total of four years.  During that time, she was instrumental in putting in a track at Stephen Mack Middle School.  Before Stephen Mack had a track, they had both a cross country and track team that had to practice on streets and in parking lots.  Kim had two sons go through the Rockton School District and both were members of the track team.  Kim was passionate about getting the track put in at the new Stephen Mack Middle School and through her tireless fund-raising efforts, she was able to raise enough to get the Board of Education to agree to build the track which is used by the students and many members of the local community.  Had Kim not been so passionate about our school district and the running programs at SMMS, the track would have never been built.  Sadly, Kim passed away of breast cancer a couple years ago.

 

The Stephen Mack Middle School track has been named the Kimberlee Lang memorial field in honor of her.
